Spending a week with our oldest daughter & son-in-law in a wonderful two-bedroom condo on the shores of Garden Lake at Telemark Pointe in Northern Wisc, was a nice way to enjoy some time together without all the responsibilities we find at home.
We did little more than we had done numerous times in previous years. We spent some time 30 miles south on the streets of the City of Hayward’s downtown area, shopping a little, eating a little and I, buying some fudge, as I always do when I visit my favorite candy store in that town.
Another day we journeyed up to Bayfield, a little town on the shores of Lake Superior, near Madeline Island, where we would take a ferry boat to the Island, walk the streets strewn with little shops, perhaps buy some art piece, stop and have a beer, then return to the mainland shores in Bayfield.
Some days we just walked the pathways near our condo, or played a game or two. Mostly we talked, solving (or not) all the worlds’ problems. An afternoon martini frequently accompanied our before dinner conversations.
Most of our meals we prepared at the condo. Ramona & Lisa prepared some tasty food items that would satisfy my daughter’s vegan needs. Non-vegans were treated properly as well.
Good company. Good weather. Good to be with family .
