Can’t say that we’ve visited Arizona for its beauty – although it is indeed beautiful. We have traveled there primarily because our youngest daughter spent some college years there and then, later as our friends retired, we journeyed there to visit them as they spent their winters in an area that relieved them of the winter challenges that Minnesota has to offer.

When our daughter made the decision to go south to get her education we chose to buy a house in Phoenix rather than endure the cost of campus housing. The decision was a good one as we sold the house for much more than we paid, our daughter had paying roommates and she was able to have many comforts that she might not otherwise have in cramped quarters.

Our last few times there allowed us to see close friends and experience the winter life they have chosen for themselves. One couple has a nice trailer home in a Mesa park that offers many opportunities to practice various hobby skills while others others living in a similar park in Apache Junction. In Salome we visit friends who own a home with an attached hanger next to a runway that neighbors share. Still other friends live in Bullhead.
